Rotate curves

Rotate curves

(OP)
Hi,

Is there a way to rotate a curve? Say I want to rotate a curve drawn flat on the x,y plane and I want to tilt or rotate it to a desired angle later on the z plane?

Thanks!

RE: Rotate curves

The way I read it, you have a curve in the XY plane and now want to rotate it out of the XY plane; is that correct?

If so, the answer will depend on what type of curve it is.

Sketch curve: if the sketch is on a model face or associated datum plane you will have to reattach the sketch to a new plane. If the sketch is on a fixed datum plane you can move the datums and the sketch should update (depending on what you constrained the sketch geometry to, some editing may be necessary).

Associative curve: moving this type of curve will depend on what it is associated to.

Basic curve (dumb curve): use move object to move/rotate it at will.
