Ground Potential Rise - ballpark values?
Ground Potential Rise - ballpark values?
(OP)
I have a form from a telecomm company that is requesting the Ground Potential Rise (GPR), Distance to 300V GPR Boundary, etc. I am looking for typical 'ballpark values'... my calculations give me a pretty far distance for the 300V GPR Boundary. The calculations seem really straight forward, but 760,610 ft seems pretty ridiculous. I am going to recheck the units for my soil resistivity (I bet it is ohms/meter and my calculation needs to be in feet), but that will have to wait until tomorrow when the truck with the tester (and instruction book) is back. Any help is appreciated!
