Family Table problem

Family Table problem

Family Table problem

(OP)
Dear All,

when i create a new revision of an assembly(A)that contains some stand-alone parts and a member(B) of an other family table(B). The assembly itself also contains a family table and i use the member(B) in the family table(A) to create different states of the assembly(A).
I get follow information/warning windows (see screen shot).
For every member of assembly(A) i create i get the warning that the family member(B) is modified and i cannot save it, obviously because this is only possible from within the table(B).
The other parts are released so i cannot save them either, but those warnings shows up in the text info window (one click=close solution)
In the end i end up with as much info windows as i created members(A) in this case 12 pieces. But we also have tables with +-100 or more members, i could get i my finger hurt in the end with close clicking/space tabbing those windows. thumbsup2
Is there a solution for this behavior?

Best regards,

Michaël.

RE: Family Table problem

MickyV007,

Have you looked into using
File, Utilities, Customer Defaults, Assemblies, General, Miscellaneous, "Display Message when Modifying Read-only Parts" ?

Regards, Joe
