Saving NX6 assembly

Saving NX6 assembly

Saving NX6 assembly

(OP)
Hi Guys,

I have a mold design done in NX6,but the our customer requested us
to send the Mold Assembly in NX5,is there any way we can do this?

Regards
Girish

RE: Saving NX6 assembly

Only way is to export as a parasolid or STEP so it can be read back into NX5.

Yes,this is what we wanted to do,but
the customer wants to see assembly structure
same as in original design
Is there any special licence available to do this?

Regards
Girish.

RE: Saving NX6 assembly

You can preserve the assembly structure if you export out as Step 214.

However, there is no way to export individual parts to a lower version without losing the part history tree.

RE: Saving NX6 assembly

If its just to view the assembly structure.
A JT-Assembly file can also give the complete assembly structure.
