Mechanical Seal

(OP)
i've been trying to design a seal pump data sheet but i dont know how to develope this calculations. There is a single pump to seal 4 areas. How should i proceed to design this pump?

RE: Mechanical Seal

I am not sure the seal you mentioned. But, it seems that every kind of pump have seal, such as the flow in the delivery line can be evened out and the energy at the beginning of each stroke reduced by the introduction of an air vessel fitted close to the pump discharge.
The sealed air vessel contains air at the top and liquid at the bottom. When the delivery stroke commences, liquid is pumped into the air vessel and the air is compressed.

RE: Mechanical Seal

In order to get meaningful replies, you need to provide more details.    What type of pump are you proposing?  What type of seals is it serving?  How many seals are in the total system?  How many of the seals may be in service at any time?  What is the sealing fluid?  What does the seal manufacturer specify for seal fluid (flow, pressure, etc.)?  You are going to have to be much, much more specific.
