ANSYS restart analysis with contacs

ANSYS restart analysis with contacs

(OP)
Hello everyone,

I have a question about restart static analysis.

I have a 3D model of two parts assembled with bolt and nut. There are contacts (with friction) with interference between all parts. On the contact between nut and part a preload is being simulated (so also an interference). There are displacements mapped on side faces of those parts, pressures and temperature applied.

Having such model I run a static analysis two ways:
1. First an assembly case (only contacts with interferences) and then a restart adding displacements and pressure loads.
2. All loads at ones (interferences, displacements, pressures)

For those two cases a different results occured.

My question is: Why? What is the difference between both ways of analysis running?

I will be greatfull for every answer.
