Boxed Note Numbers?

Boxed Note Numbers?

Boxed Note Numbers?

(OP)
Hey guys,
Another stupid question probably, but what is the best way to box your note numbers in your drawings (see attached picture)?
I've used GDT feature to create a control frame around the number, but that messes up my lines spacing.  Is there a simpler/cleaner way to do this?

RE: Boxed Note Numbers?

We still use 4 lines. Could do it with a custom symbol.

RE: Boxed Note Numbers?

That's certainly the cleanest and easiest.  I know it's only a visual phenomenon, but you can metigate this somewhat by changing the overall line spacing for the entire note.  Once you've created your note, select it, press MB3, select 'Style' and on the 'Lettering' tab change the value of the 'Line Space Factor' to something like 1.5 to 2.0, hit 'Apply' and see if this makes the appearance more acceptable.

Still a little off.  I agree its the easiest, but what I've been doing also is putting an empty identification box symbol on top of the note.  John, is there any way to associate the symbol with the note?

RE: Boxed Note Numbers?

Using the origin tool you can associate the symbol with the note.

RE: Boxed Note Numbers?

Or create the line of text with the special symbol as a separate note and then create IT associated with the rest of the note which is 'normal'.  Then if you edit the 'Line Space Factor' of the 'normal' partion of the note to be 2.000 and leave the special note to be 1.000, they will now look consistent and they will move together.  Besides, a 'Line Space Factor' of 2.000 makes you notes a lot more readable winky smile
