Minimum distance between assembly components

Minimum distance between assembly components

Minimum distance between assembly components

(OP)
Is there a quick way in NX7.5 to get the minimum distance between two components (with multiple bodies in each component) in an assembly?

Thanks.

RE: Minimum distance between assembly components

Analysis>Measure Distance

In dialoge box set "Type" set to distance and "Measurement" to minimum

Set your selection filter to "Component"

Pick your components in the assembly navigator.

RE: Minimum distance between assembly components

If you are looking for clearances between components use Assemblies - Components - check clearances.
If you have the advanced assy license you can use the Analysis - Assembly Clearance option.

RE: Minimum distance between assembly components

The Analysis -> Measure Distance... should work just fine as long as you set the selection filter to Component, even if there are multiple bodies in one or more of the Components.
