The 2007 CBC (2006 IBC) had a table with which you would reduce the allowable shear ratio if the aspect ratio is greater than 2.
Does it still exist somewhere and I couldn't find where the limitting aspect ratios are.

RE: Plywood shearwall with openings and the 2010 Calif. Building Code.

In the 2006 IBC, the limitations are shown in Table 2305.3.4, Note a.

Don't have the current CBC or 2010 IBC.

That section has been dropped. I only found an analysis for perforated shear walls in the wood NDS SDPWS-2005 Table 4.3.3.4.

I remember being at a SEAOC seminar and remember hearing the aspect ratios have increased, but I can't seem to find a code reference.

2010 CBC is available online.
Mike have you retired to fishing and giving great posts to this site?

By the way I found it.
That thing called 'reading' really works.
Section 4.3.4 of SDPWS does the trick.

No, I have not retired, but I am getting ready to move soon, and most of my references are packed up.
