1500 kva transformer on concrete pad in chem. plant
1500 kva transformer on concrete pad in chem. plant
(OP)
we are installing a 1500 kva dry type transformer in a chemical plant on a concrete pad. we are feeding the transformer from underground. i have been asked if the conduits that feed the transformer have to come up through the concrete itself or if they can come up by the side of the concrete pad. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

A transformer outline drawing to determine how and where the conduits are routed.
For pad-mounted oil-filled transformers, the conduits generally come through the pad or through a blockout in the pad - or vault is used.
There is no code requirements to bring the conduits through the concrete if that is what you are asking.
