Steel Lintel bearing plate detail

Steel Lintel bearing plate detail

Steel Lintel bearing plate detail

(OP)
I have just started some detailing for my company. We have a standard steel lintel (wide flange) bearing plate detail that calls out for 3/4" automatic welded studs on beam gage. When I look at the detail it seems the studs are automatically welded onto the bearing plate and then the beam's long slotted holes receives these studs. Then we have some nuts that are placed and tightened along these studs

I trying to understand the nomenclature
1) Shudn't it say automatic welded studs on bearing plate rather than beam gage?
2) Shouldn't it say automatic welded threaded studs?

RE: Steel Lintel bearing plate detail

1)  It means automatic studs welded to bearing plate at a spacing equivalent to beam gauge.

2)  Threaded is understood if you are putting a nut on the end.
