Hi,
exist something that permit to add text and tolerance value automatically selecting the dimension like 'H8', 'f7', etc..?
Actually I have to add manually and remember the tolerance value.

Thank you...

RE: Tollerance ISO

Hi,

I don't think that this functionality exists in NX but I will be very interested if it does because it saved a lot of time in my last CAD package (Inventor).

Hi,
I hope that some cad user can share some of his customization tool.

Thank you...

RE: Tollerance ISO

You should upgrade to NX7.5

NX 6.0.5.3 (NX 8 Beta)
Windows XP32 (Windows 7 64)

Hi phillpd,
I'm beta testing to, so if this tool is present in NX7.5, it will be present in NX8 to.
So, where can I find this tool ?

Thank you...

Look at the Dimension Tolerance Types

NX 6.0.5.3 (NX 8 Beta)
Windows XP32 (Windows 7 64)

RE: Tollerance ISO

Is there a way to bring through a tolerance, created on a sketch, onto a drawing using the Feature Parameters dialog, or into a 3D PMI feature? If so, then that's a great step forward in carrying through design intent. If not, it's essentially useless.

Don't misunderstand my intention with this post, I'm not saying this is a bad feature. I think it's a great idea with potential for saving time and maintaining design intent, but on my quick inspection of it it seems like the implementation of it is doesn't meet either of these needs.

By all means correct me if I'm wrong!

Hi JHTH,
feature parameters can be converted into PMI (need license) and imported in drafting that can driven the 3D also.

Thank you.

RE: Tollerance ISO

Hi, Cuba,

That wasn't really what I was asking - if I create e.g. an H6 in a sketch, extrude and then use the Feature Parameters dialog to bring the sketch dimensions into Drafting it doesn't bring the H6 with it. Am I missing an option somewhere?

Thanks,

JH

Hi JHTH,
this is true, but I think or I remember to have read that with PMI license, you can convert with RMB the sketch dimension or feature dimension into PMI that can be imported into the drawing.
Those PMI can also drive the 3D from the drafting.
But I don't have PMI license so I can't confirm you.

Thank you...
