Mold tools _ parting line

Mold tools _ parting line

Mold tools _ parting line

(OP)
It's been a while since I have used most of the mold tools.
Why would the "Parting Line Analysis" icon be grayed out?
Is there something I'm missing?

I have an odd shape part and I need to find the natural parting line (silhouette) of the part.
Imagine a twisting/curved exhaust pipe.

RE: Mold tools _ parting line

Are you working in an assy?

RE: Mold tools _ parting line

Can you post the part (or similar part) for testing?

RE: Mold tools _ parting line

(OP)
I would, but not allowed too at the moment.
I'll see if I can duplicate something similar to post.
Thanks.
