2d exchange to dxf, dwg, and pdf

Hi,

Currently, the way we work is:
We use teamcenter, we make a part in nx, then, of that part, we make a drawing as a seperate file. From this drawing, we manually export each file to a dwg, a dxf and a pdf, having to manually type in the name for each file seperately. This is a very time consuming part of my job.

I'm pretty sure there will be a way to automate this, but, as i'm fairly new to NX, I have no idea how to get started.

My guess is some kind of journal/macro will be involved, but, as I'm no programmer, I wouldn't know where to start.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

P.S.: I'm new to this forum, so hello everyone!

RE: 2d exchange to dxf, dwg, and pdf

Welcome to the forums!

What version of NX are you running?

I'm running NX 7.5 and teamcenter 8

RE: 2d exchange to dxf, dwg, and pdf

This thread might give you a starting point: thread561-264567: NX5 - AUTOMATE PDF EXPORT?

The journal was originally written for a system running native (no teamcenter), some changes may be necessary. I'm pretty sure there was another thread for exporting dxf files, try searching the forum for 'export dxf'.
