UBC and BS code

Dear all,
I am a structural engineer in Nigeria and I need help concerning the Uniform Building Code. Some materials where brought in from the US which are in accordance with UBC. Please I need help as to main difference between the use of UBC and BS code for building. Thank you so much.
Regards

RE: UBC and BS code

Pretty general question here.  Can you be more specific in what your needs are?  What are you designing?  What materials?  etc., etc., etc.

Thank you so much.
I am expecting some pre-fabricated steel sections in from the US to be used in Nigeria.
Specifically, I want to know if there is any  difference in the design philosophy, load factors, load combination or any important difference between  UBC and BS code. Thanks so much.
Regards
