Skin Friction, K factors, Guy Anchor

Skin Friction, K factors, Guy Anchor

(OP)
When a concrete guy anchor is in action there's skin friction on the sides, the top, the front face, and also on the bottom if uplift is not too great.  The friction force for a cohesionless soil is:

f = K * effective_overburden * tan (delta)
where delta = 2/3 *internal friction

I think you use Ko for the side friction (because it's like a caisson) but I would think that front friction K is more like Kp.  So how do you know which K to use and whether or not to always use tan (delta)?  Any ideas?
Thank you.

RE: Skin Friction, K factors, Guy Anchor

You might help explain your question with a sketch of the anchor.  Data on soil and water conditions also would help.
