Modifying a dimension line

Modifying a dimension line

(OP)
Hello

I wish to reduce the space between the arrow and text on external dimensions (see attached).  Would someone point me to correct command, please?

Thanks

RE: Modifying a dimension line

I believe it's DIMGAP

RE: Modifying a dimension line

Can be manually done using explode.

RE: Modifying a dimension line

forgot, you can also use your ticks.

RE: Modifying a dimension line

Create a new dimension style.  DDIM

RE: Modifying a dimension line

Yes, Occupant is correct.Dimgap will work

Chaps

Thanks for the advice. DIMGAP did not work. Exploding did but it seems to be a bit of a fudge.

Thanks again.

RE: Modifying a dimension line

did you try aligning the text with the end of the line instead of having it align on top of the extension line? Maybe it can then move closer to the arrowhead.

RE: Modifying a dimension line

Change to "move text, add leader" and see if it lets you close the gap. ???

Dear All

I have tried moving the text using grips and the gap is always the same (image). With multileader, I am able to change the landing gap and space. I suspect the control is within the Style Manager Modify but I am unable to find it.

Thanks for the advice.

RE: Modifying a dimension line

dimgap is the answer.  Do the dimension.  Type dimgap.  Type a new value.  Type Update and pick the dimension.
