Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

I am new to Unigraphics, to do plastic injection mold design. We dont have assembly and mold wizard license. Can some one help me with the process of creating split/parting surfaces, extracting core-cavity surfaces from product etc. Your help will be much appreciated

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

Come on... Assembly license is a must for mold design. Mold wizard can be optional. First get in touch with Siemens reseller and buy the assembly license.

NX 7.5.2.5

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

I just have to ask, while I can understand how one could acquire a license without Mold Wizard, how in the world did you end up with an NX configuration that did NOT include Assemblies???

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

Perhaps you have the assembly license but not the advanced assembly license?

Hi all....Thanks for your feedback.I contacted Siemens regarding the licese. When I start a new model with assembly template, it says I have no assembly license.

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

To answer John,

UG10762 NX Designer & UGD10630 NX Freeform Modeling has no assemblies.

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

For one thing, UGD10630 is NOT a seat of NX, but rather an 'add on' to an existing Modeling bundle providing Shape Studio/Advanced Surfacing capabilities.

RE: Mold Design Help with Unigraphics

This is one of our customers, so I was just giving a listing of what's in the install to explain why they have no assemblies functionality. Not originally sold by us I hasten to add.
