UG Save Error

UG Save Error

UG Save Error

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

First post on the Eng-tips forums, but found lots of fantastic info on here over the years, so I thought I'd give it a shot!

I'm fairly new to UG, and have run into an issue when I try to save a part. It generates an error that lists the directory I'm trying to save to, then says 'A deleted or invalid class id was used'.

The error first cropped up last week, but I had saved recently and just accepted the fact I'd have to make up a half an hour of work. Earlier today, UG let me save both of the troubled parts without any issues, so I thought I was home free. Now that it's come back though, it seems like something I need to address.

I've tried saving as a different part name in a different directory, but ended up with the same error, which leads me to believe it's an internal problem with the part. I've run part cleanup utility, with no luck. I've also tried saving a few other parts that I haven't modified yet today, and didn't have any issues saving them, so I doubt it's a problem with my computer.

My version of NX is 5.0.6.3 x64 running on Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Shenzi

RE: UG Save Error

Are these parts you created from scratch or were they sent to you by someone?

If they are assemblies, can you save the component parts by themselves?

The parts were originally sent to us by a customer, but they've been heavily modified since then.

They're primarily created from customer specified lofts however, which are linked geometry (broken in this case). Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I haven't had any problems with them over the past few months, just the last few days.
