China Manufacturing Licence

China Manufacturing Licence

China Manufacturing Licence

(OP)
Hey

I wonder if any one can help me,

We have decided to allow our China Manufacturing License expire due to cost compared to revenue which it generates.

i received some information the other day, i am not sure of the origin of it or if its correct/what does it actually mean?..

'We are allowed to ship goods into China for 3 mths after expiry of our certificate'

Does this mean that goods complete, ie hydro tested after expiry of our certificate can be shipped or do we need to complete manufacture within our certificate validity?

If any one can quote or point me in the right direction for information i would really appreciate it

Thank you in advance

Chris

RE: China Manufacturing Licence

We are China License holder too (Germany)

My experience is, that it is absolutely important, to finish ALL the manufacturing (incl. pressure test) within the certificates validity.

3 years ago we bulit some pressure vessels for china during the process of prolongation of our license. That means, the "old" license expired but the application for the new license was in process.

The Chinese gouverment STOPS ALL THE GODS at the border, until the new license was stamped !!

I hope, you can understand.  My english is not so good.......

Hi Mikel

Thank you for posting your experience above, it has been useful.

From what you are saying we are far better manufacturing and shipping to enter China BEFORE the lapse of our License!

I am still reading through the handbooks (the Green Book) to see if it says anything but i doubt anything will be within them, i doubt its the sort of information they would share.

oh Mikel, your English is very good and very clear, TRUST ME its far better than my German :)

Thanks again

Chris

If any one else has any experience please can you post below

RE: China Manufacturing Licence

Hi Chris,

as far as I can see, the shipping date / time of arrival in China is NOT essential cause in most cases you have no effect to the shipping time. The license is for manufacturing pressure vessels. NOT for shipping it to China smile

All works in your workshop must be finished and all paperwork (inspection, quality control, pressure test, NDE-test and so on)signed with date BEFORE end of license validity !

Hi Mikel

Thank you again, I have contacted CSEI direct to ask the question.

It looks as though a vessel we are manufacturing will be registered before our certificates expires BUT the Hydro Test and Shipping will be AFTER our expiration date.

Hopefully i will receive 'The official word' from CSEI if i do receive anything i will post it here for future reference for anyone

Thanks

Chris

RE: China Manufacturing Licence
