Motion analysis with constrained geometry??

Motion analysis with constrained geometry??

Motion analysis with constrained geometry??

(OP)
Hi all,

I've been using a 3rd party program to do kinematic studies and I would like to use solidworks. I have a top down design of a full suspension bicycle frame, all the parts geometry is contrained to a layout sketch. Therefore the whole assemlby is static in the model. The bicycle has a spring/damper and a linkage and I would like to study this in a motion analysis, has anyone got any ideas on how to get the parts moving, taking into account that everything is locked in by the layout sketch.

If I haven't explained the question well enough let me know and I'll have another go at it.

Cheers
Jeremy S
