Problem with selecting curves for cross hatching

Problem with selecting curves for cross hatching

Problem with selecting curves for cross hatching

(OP)
Attached is a jpeg of a small area of my plan of die that I am trying to place cross hatching to represent the area of the strip that will be cut out. I sketched the light blue curves to close the boundry. However I am not able to select the green curves after I select the blue, nor am I able to select the other grren or blue if I start with one of the green ones. Please help.

RE: Problem with selecting curves for cross hatching

If you're running NX 5.0 or newer, try this:

With your drawing displayed, set the view where you wish to create your crosshatching to be a Sketch view (in NX 5.0 you'll need to select the Sketch icon first and then select the view, whereas with the newer versions you can just select the desired view, press MB3 and select the 'Active Sketch View' option).  Now start by using the Sketcher 'Project Curve' function and select the 'Green' curves.  Then draw your 'Blue' curves forming a closed boundry.  Now you can select these Sketch curves as your new Crosshatch boundary.

Sorry John, but I do not get the 'Active Sketch View' when I click MB3. FYI I'm on 7.5. I hope my company send us to the NX5 to NX7.5 transition class in August or else I'll be spending more time here than on NX.

RE: Problem with selecting curves for cross hatching

The drawing view has to either have its boundary highlighted or selected, and the cursor has to be over a portion of the highlighted/selected view boundary for the 'Active Sketch View' option to be present when you press MB3.  The only time that this option should NOT be displayed is when the view is ALREADY the active sketch view.
