Does anyone know of a resource that would list allowable loads for light gage Stran Steel Joists?  I am dealing with an existing building that has 12" 12 gage Stran Steel Joists for the roof.  I can't find anything online except some testing done at the University of Michigan in 1945, but it was for a different depth and gage.

RE: Stran Steel Joists

You may have to measure them and do your own calculations.

I agree with BA.  Stran was bought out by Varco Pruden and when I have asked for old information in the past they have never been able or willing to provide much info.

Thanks.  I have someone measuring it for me tomorrow (it's in a different city).  Sounds like trying to get any type of information on the product is a dead end street.   Thanks for the replies.
