static pressure

(OP)
How static pressures (in. wc or Pa) are determined in installing ceiling exhaust fans.

CFM = 50
EDL = 60ft.

RE: static pressure

You would have a much better chance of getting an answer if you actually asked a question.

RE: static pressure

Hire someone who does ventilation; he will know about static pressure.

RE: static pressure

if you know duct diamater then by using duct chart you can find pressure drop in the duct in addtion to loss in fittings ie elbows, Tees..etc
you can find more information in ASHRAE books

RE: static pressure

Keeping the duct as straight as possible, and increasing the duct size (if possible), will minimize static pressure, as you will find with the lower C coefficient in the ASHRAE books.  SMACNA also makes great duct fitting books as well, if they are available to you.

This was also asked in Local Exhaust Ventilation and berkshire gave an excellent source of fundamental training module.
