SW 2006 Help quote:

"You can place a pattern of components in an assembly based on a feature pattern of assembly features."  This is under the heading of "component pattern."

What are the steps to do this?  The pattern menu icons are disabled in the assembly mode.

RE: component pattern

The component pattern icons in assembly mode are different from the feature pattern icons in part mode.  Go to Insert->Component Pattern

-handleman, CSWP (The new, easy test)

RE: component pattern

Customize the 'S' key shortcut to include your most used/needed icons.
