Fully constraint or not

Fully constraint or not

Fully constraint or not

John or somebody,

I attached a picture where you see that the assembly contains two components and three constraints between the components.
You can see the all components are fully constraint but this is false.
When you suppress and unsuppress one of three constraints you see that every components are partially constraint.

RE: Fully constraint or not

What is your question exactly?

RE: Fully constraint or not

I guess that this is a odd case, it seems that the two components are fully constrained against each other (?), but none of them are constrained against "world". Try "Move component" and drag any of them and both should move freely.
- Add a fix constraint on one of the two or constrain one relative the datum csys that probably exists in "C".

Yes, my question is why are the components fully constrained when they are partially constrained in the real world?
for example, When I use the Update for External Change command then the icons are changed to partially from fully in the position column in the ANT.
I have a full log file, too if it is necessary.

RE: Fully constraint or not

OK, it appears to be a problem with the Assembly Navigator not getting updated when it should be.  There does not appear to be any problem with the Constraint solver itself, just that the icons in the 'Position' column are not showing the actual status until they are forced to update.  We're investigating this situation and will follow-up with a PR once we know exactly what's happening.
