GE Spec to DeCode

GE Spec to DeCode

GE Spec to DeCode

(OP)
I am trying to de-code GE Spec B8A3A (it is a shim stock of some kind .008 ) i have not been able to translate the type of material.  Can Someone Help?

RE: GE Spec to DeCode

a quick google of a few keywords brought this up: B8A3A sheet, hot roll, low carbon, ATSI 1010.

The .008 thickness does not jive well with a hot rolled material, or at least not what I'm used to seeing in shim stock.

I would get ahold of the appropriate division or department of GE and get it straight from the horses' mouth.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
