Hi,

Can I ask what the difference between latest working and alpha REV order is?

I'm loading an assembly which has a revision A and B of a part. When I load using latest working it loads REV A, when I load using alpha REV order I get REV B.

I can't quite understand what it's doing, any help appreciated.

RE: Load options

Does rev B have status, ie released? I wonder if it sees your Rev A as the latest working because rev B is relased (not working Revison)? Rev A may not have status?

RE: Load options

REV A is released and REV B isn't but I thought latest working went on timestamp? I'm really not sure :(

This unfortunately gets weirder :(

The part in question is in a few assemblies, I can load one of them and it will load a different revision to the other. Surely this shouldn't be possible?

RE: Load options

Are you using Teamcenter or some other PDM?

Do you have the 'load as saved' option checked or not?

Are you using out of the box part revision rules or something custom?

RE: Load options

I'm using Teamcenter and I don't have load as saved checked.

The part revision rules are out of the box.

Any ideas much appreciated. It seems very strange that the revision it loads can differ between assemblies.

RE: Load options

If you are running TC / Engineering or TC UA, you should be able to , in teamcenter , "send" one assembly to the PSE / Structure Editor,
Then in the main menu, Tools - Revision Rule - View/Set current...
Select the rule "Latest working" in the left pane, note the definitions in the right pane.  ( You should be able to understand the difference between Latest working / Alpha Rev by reading these.)
"Close" the dialog after reading and you have done no change.
