Hi,

we have Solid edge v18 and our client wants ST2 files. Is there any major difference between thos e two releases? Will the client still have a tree or will it be imported as a parasolid?

cheers

RE: Solid edge V18 and ST2

ST2 can open V18 without any problems (tree and all). We probably have files in our database which was last saved in V12. Just remember that once a file is saved in a newer version you can't open it with an older version.

Theodore

Cheers thanks

RE: Solid edge V18 and ST2

ST2 Offer both functionality, One environment is the "Traditionnal" way of parametric modeling with the feature tree and feature order dependency which is the continuity of V18,V19,V20,etc. While the second environment is the new Synchronous technology. You still have to choose between one or the other before building a new part.

@ Kenat

Thanks for your wonderful and insightful remark. It's good to see productivity is wasted on the cynicals.
