Tangential Relationship snaps How do they work in SW?

Tangential Relationship snaps How do they work in SW?

Tangential Relationship snaps How do they work in SW?

(OP)
I am pulling a circle close to a hidden line but even with "Tangential Snaps" turned on, I am not getting the tangential relationship to snap intuitively. I know I can select both entities and set the relationship, but shouldn't this be automatic (=faster) with "Tangential Snaps" checked?

I also drew a line and pulled a circle close to it, but no intuitive snap to the tangential relationship.

Please does SW not allow this with Snaps turned on?

Thanks for any help!

Does it work if you move the line to the circle?

RE: Tangential Relationship snaps How do they work in SW?

Hmmm... The only time I've had the tangential snap thing work is when I didn't want it to. I didn't even know about it at first, but when I kept having lines attach way far from where I was trying to attach them, I figured there was some kind of tangent snap function. Quite frustrating actually.

ctopher thanks you are right. I was doing a tutorial and it does work if you pull a line to the circle.
