In NX 7.5, I have an assembly open with one of the components my work part. In NX 5, the rest of the components would be shown as gray.  Now in NX 7.5, they are blue and purple.  Might be something that I get used to, but it would be nice to change them back to gray.

If that's really what you want, go to...

Preferences -> Visualization -> Color

...expand the 'De-emphasis' subsection in the 'Part Settings' section, set your desired de-emphasis color (probably some sort of gray), slide the 'Blend Percentage' slider all the way to 100 and hit OK.
