Solidworks Viewer 2011 or Solidworks Explorer 2011

Solidworks Viewer 2011 or Solidworks Explorer 2011

Solidworks Viewer 2011 or Solidworks Explorer 2011

(OP)
I am returning to Solidworks after a number of years.

I am wondering if Solidworks Viewer is still the standard for viewing files/drawings for anybody without a seat or is viewing now done with Solidworks Explorer??

I have searched for Viewer on the SW website and can't seem to download it anywhere...

I am using SW 2011 SP 3.0.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
James

Thanks for the link.

There is no SW Viewer tho. And when I do find it on the SW website to download it doesn't work.

This is why I am wondering if SW Explorer is the new standard for viewing SW files/drawings etc???

RE: Solidworks Viewer 2011 or Solidworks Explorer 2011

Use the eDrawings program.

Solidworks Explorer does some basic pdm functions for moving and renaming files without losing your references and links as you would with Windows Explorer.

eDrawings is what you're after.
