SE3 (Washington) Exam Location

SE3 (Washington) Exam Location

Coming from out of state (Kansas) to take the SE III in Washington in October...

Is there one location that is easier to get in and out of than the other?

RE: SE3 (Washington) Exam Location

If you could let me know where the sites are, I might be able to help.  I thought they assigned you a specific site though when you got your acceptance letter to take the exam.

FYI, I have lived in the Puget Sound area of Western Washington all my life.

Well the application lets you choose Western or Eastern Washington, but does not tell you the sites and I couldn't find them online any where.

I will probably only be there one night (fly in Thursday, sleep, take test and fly out Friday).  I just was wondering if one was closer to airports and hotels than another.

SE3, last shot:)

Good luck, I am thinking about taking the test too, got registered as PE there last month. A couple of friends who did take the test went to Seattle, apparently as an Arch/Engr you must visit Seattle Pub Library, so that was their motivation.

This  is my first shot as it as well, Joe.  I just figured I better do it while I can.

RE: SE3 (Washington) Exam Location

If you come into Seattle, you will be coming into Seatac Airport, about 30 minutes south of Seattle.  Parking in Seattle is a B*&^% now in the downtown area, and expensive, thanks to the progressive mayor, but that's another issue for another day.  The test is usually given at the Seattle Center, about 2 miles north of the main downtown area, where access is pretty good and a parking garage to the north with a moderate fee.

In eastern Washington, I would expect the exam to be in Spokane, but I do not have any lead where.  Nevertheless, in general, Spokane is pretty open and easy to maneuver in with parking readily available and not expensive from what I remember.

Thanks MS...

that settles that.... eastern Washington it is.

If only that was the hard part, now time to study for it.  I passed the SEI and II on my first try, but it appears that the pass rate for the III is around 20% so I am not optimistic on this.

RE: SE3 (Washington) Exam Location

If you go into Spokane, you will probably be landing at Geiger Field, about 15 minutes west of Spokane, but easy access to the main city using I-90.

@ epitome1170: SE III is on October 15 this year, correct? Just want to make sure that I got the date right because it seems to be 2 weeks earlier then all other PE exams.

Sorry Joe I just now got my formal letter accepting me to take the SE3.  It is on the 15th and seems to be offered in Spokane and Tacoma (I think).
