Cannot check in place holder document CAD part?

Cannot check in place holder document CAD part?

Cannot check in place holder document CAD part?

(OP)
I have a customer that is having problems checking in a model we created into their PDMlink system.

Model has around 800 files and 5 are preventing the drawing from getting checked in.

I have never worked with any of the PDM managers and the file works fine for me.

They are telling me it returns an error message referring to 5 outdated file names. (Names were used at one time, but not in finished model).

There are no drawing views that refer to these parts, and the parts are not listed in the DRAWING MODELS available.

I have eliminated everything listed in any .crc files, find no problems listed in the Reference Viewer, and have no issues in the geometry check.

What's a "place holder document"?

Thanks,

RE: Cannot check in place holder document CAD part?

Ghost objects. Left over from the old file names that are still being referenced.

Create dummy files of those 5 names and see if that will allow the checkin to proceed.
