Solid Edge Newbie....
(OP)
Bare with me guys. I have been looking all morning and all I'm trying to do is insert my Dwg/dxf 2d profile into Solid Edge sketch plane so i can revolve my profile. What's the easiest way to do this? I have V18.
Thanks,
Adam

RE: Solid Edge Newbie....
From there you can cut & paste it onto a part, sheet metal or assembly sketch plane.
Just do File > Open and select your dxf/dwg, then when it asks for a template file pick a draft template.
For some reason the default is to convert into inch units, so if you are working in metric you will need to set the import units to mm.
When you have picked the file the Options button should be available. The setting is somewhere in there.

RE: Solid Edge Newbie....
Click open file, and navigate to the dxf file.
Select the file, and click open.
You will be prompted to select a template to use.
You will need to use the draft template.
Your dxf should open as a 2d drawing, after SE converts it.
Now, you can window the drawing, and select copy.
Finally, open a new part file, and select the sketch command.
Select the plane you wish to place the sketch upon.
Click on paste, and you should have pasted the sketch to that plane.
You can use the move command to reposition the sketch.
