Copy projects and rename parts / drawing without loosing references

Hi, I'm new in SolidWorks and I have to copy a complex project and have to rename all drawings and parts. What is the easiest way to do this without loosing all references and links?

Thanks a lot!!!

I just found it by myself. I copied the whole project in a new folder, and opend SolidWorks Explorer and renamed the parts with the references ... winky smile

RE: Copy projects and rename parts / drawing without loosing references

An alternative is to open the top level assembly or drawing in SolidWorks and then File>Find References>Copy Files.  This will open up the Pack-n-Go dialog (also available through SolidWorks Explorer).  Pack-n-Go allows you to copy files and rename in one shot.  It also gathers up all the files that may not be in the same directory as the main assembly.

Your method worked because all of your files are in a single folder.

You only think you solved the problem winky smile Any relationships established at the assembly level will still reflect the original name unless you go back and redefine them.
Pack and Go is available from the File menu.
I have used Pack and Go before, but for some reason today it seems to lock up when I select the drawings if I am in Flat View. Anyone else have that issue?
