Hi:
I have a question regarding thid progra, especifically for the Teng cohesion spreadsheet. At the bottom, schematically it shows the lateral pressure distribution along the pile as 9*c*D. c being cohesion, D pile diameter and the other is  the number 9?. I wonder if that is right though I cannot interpret it. Thank you.

RE: POLEFDN by Steeltools

This spreadsheet by Tomanovich is correct.  The "9" value stands for Nc. In deep foundations, Nc, is a bearing capacity factor due to cohesion and is taken as value of 9.  The only draw back with this spreadsheet is that you don't get a deflection value with depth.
