Tank inspection SP-001

Tank inspection SP-001

Tank inspection SP-001

(OP)
Looking for 2nd opinion anyone familiar with Above Ground Storage Tank (AST)Inspection under SP-001 , I have a 8,000 gal  steel vertical
tank , which sits inside a Concrete dike secondary containment structure  .I feel this AST meets catagory 1 criteria for inspection which requires a Foraml inspection by certified Steel Tank Insitute inspection.

RE: Tank inspection SP-001

Agree.  Category 1 per SP-001.

If field-erected, use App.B, Table B2.1

If shop-fabbed and freighted to your site, use Table 5.5.

The main requirement to 'survive' an audit by EPA, OSHA, etc. is to have written, signed records.  We scan ours digitally so that they are easy to retrieve, hard to lose, and backed up off-site.
