can you change CTRL+MMB mapping?

can you change CTRL+MMB mapping?

Hi all,

I have been using SolidWorks for a few years now, but one thing that's always bugged me is the CTRL+MMB pan key-map, I use a couple other programs where panning is done using SHIFT+MMB, and zooming with CTRL+MMB. I've done a quick google search and a search of this forum and I couldn't find anything. Is there any way to change this input mapping in SolidWorks?

Thanks

RE: can you change CTRL+MMB mapping?

Not from within SW, but you should be able to make the changes via the mouse software.

Aerospace Guy - I have had the same problem, and have found out if you let windows load a generic mouse driver. (one already in the windows package), you don't have a really good handle on editing the mouse buttons, but canceling the windows loading of its generic driver and loading the driver that came with your mouse will give you the ability to edit the buttons.I have also found that Logitech mouse software works best. You can set the buttons for specific Cad software with its software.

I'll give that a try.
