DC-10 tail cone placard..
DC-10 tail cone placard..
(OP)
Howdy all,
We had someone do a nice DA sanding job on a door panel without removing the placard. Now we don't know what the placard was supposed to read. If anyone happens to be near a DC-10 and can take a picture of the tail cone so we can figure out what this plate is supposed to read I would appreciate it. In DC-10 CMM/IPC in referenc 53-52-04 figure 1101 item 354AC. See attaced pictures from the manual below

Boeing have a series of standards for their placards which depends upon application. I'm sure that McD had similar.
Take care to use suitable alternate materials. Remember to edge seal, and make it from really tough abrasion resistant material next time, or better train staff.
