(OP)
We're working on a #4-40 fastener (similar to a flat head (82 degree) that is to have a type II cross recessed drive on the head.  I'm looking for detailed dimensions on the actual female drive for the screw as it will be a custom molded part.  I've not found complete information anywhere and the info that I have found contradicts itself when to take "specifications" from one source and marry them to another.  The ANSI 18.6.3 gives a start but does not give angles on the sides of the drive nor the details of the bottom.

Any help would be appreciated as I can back into this via testing and measurements but would rather find a spec if its available.

RE: type 2 cross recessed (phillips type) drive dimensions

Hmm, 18.6.3 would have been my suggestion, I'll be interested if anyone else comes up with something.

B18.6.7M gives the info for metric screws, not sure if it has the missing info you can read across.
