Etabs Meshing

Etabs Meshing

Etabs Meshing

(OP)
I'm working on a etabs model. I meshed the concrete walls 2'X2' and the slab 4'X4'. The area of the slab is about 35,000 SFT and number of walls are around 60. With these mesh sizes (which are very small)it looks like there are too many nodes and too many equations to solve and my computer is running out of memory. So I want to remesh the walls to 4'X4'. Is there any simple way I can bump up the size of mesh, with out me having re do the whole model ?

your response will be of great help to me. Thanks.

RE: Etabs Meshing

Did you mesh the areas explicitly? If so, I am not aware of any ways to make the mesh size bigger.

You can choose to mesh internally with null lines or defining a maximum mesh size.
