(OP)
I'm trying to create a spline that follows a radiate surface curve. WHen i open a sketch on a plane, select spline and sketch the spline using several points, i cannot seem to stop or end the spline as it disappears whenever i double-click or press esc. to complete it.
Awaiting your response with great anticipation!

RE: splines

Are you using 2001Plus?  If so I can not recreate the problem.  If you are using 2000 I have ran into this a few times.  If I remember correctly there is a setting in 2000 under Tools, Options, Sketch, Alternate Spline Creation.  Try checking that and I think it should work the way you want it to.

Check you grid settings. Tools, options, Document Properties, uncheck all buttons.  If your Snap to points are set to on, and your major grid spacing is 10 inches, your sketch will snap to the points.  Then you will not see a 3-inch sketch. Good luck.
