OLD Overflow weir and Peir assesment

OLD Overflow weir and Peir assesment

OLD Overflow weir and Peir assesment

(OP)
I was working on the stability calculations for a overflow weir and peirs of gates for a small dam on a old hydropower generation station. The weir and peirs concrete is weathered  and need facing to improve the stability under 100 year flood conditions.

Any suggesion for stability analysis of these structures or any Exel spread sheet available? Or any sofware ?

I will appreciate your help.

Thanks

RE: OLD Overflow weir and Peir assesment

What does stability analysis mean in this context? An overflow weir is generally pretty easy to analyze as a cantilever or three sided plate.
Stability analysis is not usually done or necessary for these type structures.

This analysis is the requirement for the permits. My question was how to perform this analysis at maximum overturning forces like Ice and flood conditions. Is there any spreadsheet available for the analysis. This is not a cantilever structurs. solid concerete structures but 80 years old. Is anchoring a solution?

Thanks.

Is there any spreadsheet available on any website for gravity dam design. I can also purchase that spreadsheet, if available.
