how much is the leakage of water for a residual water system?

sir do you have a source that the percentage of leakage for an entire water system should be less than 5-8% of the water supply? Thats really i wanted.. tnk u sir bimr.. d best!

If you want an allocation of water from Lake Michigan, you have to reduce your Unaccounted-for flows to less than 8%

Unaccounted-for flows for applicants in Categories IA and IIB shall not exceed 12% in 1981 decreasing to 8% in 1986 and for all years thereafter except as provided in Section 3730.307(b). The percentages stated in this Section shall be based on net annual pumpage.
