SWX sheet format into Draftsight

SWX sheet format into Draftsight

SWX sheet format into Draftsight

(OP)
I have used DwgEditor (DE) a few times when someone wanted a dwg file modified. I just found out that it is not bundled with SWX 2011. DraftSight (DS) seems so easy to use because it is similar to both DE and SWX.  I would like to have the title block, rev. block etc., on a drawing template Is there an easy way to use our SWX sheet formats / drawing templates as a drawing template in DS? Would making a block of the SWX sheet and inserting it into DS be appropriate?

Thanks in advance.

RE: SWX sheet format into Draftsight

I haven't tried, but you could probably save the SW template as a DXF/DWG, open that in DraftSight, and save as a template.

Thanks a lot CBL!

That will suffice for now.  I will have to learn some more about this and then try to create a DS template which uses the attributes of blocks so the "custom properties" of the dwg are quickly editable.
