i am looking at a thin wall which will be used as effectively a shutter to which concrete will poured against. What would be the lateral load the wall would be  subjected to? I guess its somewhere between a liquid and solid?

Please make a search for concrete pressure on formwork, there is a good number of sound articles out there on the matter.

Pretend it is water but at 150 pcf.  Conservative but works well.

Don't forget you will have guys placing and vibrating it.
