Install two versions of Abaqus using only one port

Is it possible to install two licenses of two versions of a FEA software package using only one port?. I explain my case: I am struggling to setup Abaqus 6.10 and Abaqus 6.9 and I am not sure if it possible or desiderable to install the two licenses using the same system environment variable and the same License Manager pointing to the same port 27000@server. I did this but I on many occasions Abaqus 6.10 was unable to get or release the license turn.

RE: Install two versions of Abaqus using only one port

I pass the licenses on to my network admin and I believe he only runs the latest version.  I have no issues opening previous versions of Abaqus with a new license.  Abaqus tech support should be able to help you with this though.  I hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the answer, Robert. We want a transition from 6.9 to 6.10 as it is impossible for us to have Abaqus 6.10 installed in all the computers at the same time. I tried to get in touch with Simulia this week but I am waiting for an answer. Thanks again.
