Cutting Plane Line at a Specific Distance

Cutting Plane Line at a Specific Distance

Cutting Plane Line at a Specific Distance

(OP)
I am on NX6
We have an undefined solid body from another source, and we need a very basic definition of it.
We would like to create several section views where the cutting plane lines are a specific distance from each other, and based off the same detail view.
The problem is that I cannot set the location of the cutting plane line off of anything except directly on a point based off of a drawing view entity.
Is there a way to locate a cutting plane line a certain distance off of a center point (or any other point) on a drawing view?

RE: Cutting Plane Line at a Specific Distance

You can create a section using an arbitrary point on the view, then double click the section line and select "Move segment". When you select a segment it will activate the point selection feature where you can then choose the point constructor and input decimal values for the section line location.

Thank you very much - that's just what I was looking for.
