Concrete Retaining Wall Software

Concrete Retaining Wall Software

I am looking to buy a program for concrete retaining wall design and analysis... I am curious what you might suggest... please let me know what you are currently using and if you like it.

Thanks!

RE: Concrete Retaining Wall Software

I like "RetainPro." It covers pretty much every type of basic retaining wall you might encounter. Even does MSE walls now, though I haven't used that module. Like any other software, you need to punch a few numbers on the side to make sure the results are correct, but we should all be doing that with any software package on a regular basis. I haven't come across any major bugs in over 10 years using it. It's pretty reasonably priced as well, I think it's only 2-3 hundred bucks for a single user license (could be more expensive now).

RE: Concrete Retaining Wall Software

Enercalc is about as user friendly as it gets. CRSI practically gives one away too (in fact it may even be free with their Design Handbook)

RE: Concrete Retaining Wall Software

CRSI no longer provides or supports software.  Either of those packages mentioned is a good solution.

RE: Concrete Retaining Wall Software

I wrote my own 30 years ago and still use it.

My preference is QuickRWall from IES.  Unlike RetainPro or Enercalc, I feel that QuickRWall's output follows like a hand calc.

RE: Concrete Retaining Wall Software

I use both RetainPro and Quickwall by Digital Canal. I favor RetainPro. Enercalc does not publish retaining wall module any more.

I also have my own spreadsheet to check on stability and moments.
